Terms and Conditions – SmulSchilderijtjes
1. General
These general terms and conditions apply to all orders placed with SmulSchilderijtjes, registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 92562477. By placing an order, you agree to these terms and conditions.
2. Products
SmulSchilderijtjes supplies handmade, personalized cookies. Each product is unique and may therefore differ slightly from the examples shown on the website or social media. We work with dyes, so colors may vary per order.
Specifications and personal interpretation
The customer is responsible for clearly and completely providing all desired specifications, including but not limited to colors, texts, themes, and other design details. If this information is incomplete, unclear, or not specified, SmulSchilderijtjes reserves the right to interpret and complete the design according to its own discretion and creativity. In such cases, the customer cannot claim adjustments or refunds based on differences in interpretation.
Fonts and maximum characters
The website specifies the maximum number of characters that can be used per font. If the customer provides more characters than can fit within the chosen font, SmulSchilderijtjes reserves the right to select an alternative, suitable font without prior consultation. SmulSchilderijtjes is not liable for deviations in appearance resulting from this necessary adjustment.
Colors and screen display
Colors may appear differently depending on the screen, device, or print. The final color of the cookies may therefore slightly differ from what the customer sees on their screen. For general color descriptions such as “old rose,” “beige,” or “terracotta,” SmulSchilderijtjes reserves the right to choose a suitable shade that matches the design. Minor color deviations do not entitle the customer to adjustments, compensation, or refunds.
Patterns and distribution within a set
When a pattern is chosen for an order, this pattern will be applied to approximately one-third (± 1/3) of the total number of cookies within the order. The remaining cookies will be made in matching solid colors, fitting within the chosen theme or color scheme. The exact distribution and placement of the pattern will be determined by SmulSchilderijtjes based on design balance and aesthetics. No rights can be derived from this regarding a specific layout or exact numbers per design. For small or odd numbers, the ratio may vary slightly. This does not entitle the customer to adjustments, compensation, or refunds.
3. Ingredients and allergens
Our cookies may contain traces of peanuts, nuts, milk, and other allergens. Customers are responsible for checking ingredients for (potential) allergies.
4. Shelf life
Our cookies are freshly baked and made with care. The shelf life varies per type:
- The fondant cookies remain freshest when stored in their original, sealed packaging, in a cool and dry place (preferably not in the refrigerator). Under these conditions, they have a shelf life of 4 to 6 weeks.
- The Chunky Cookies are freshly baked and best enjoyed within 7 days when stored in the refrigerator. Want to keep them longer? No problem! They will stay good for up to 3 months in the freezer.
Please note: the shelf life may be shorter if the cookies are not stored correctly. A dry, cool place without direct sunlight is always best.
5. Shipping and delivery time
The delivery and production time is 2 to 4 business days, excluding weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and national holidays.
Once the package has been handed over to PostNL, the risk lies with the buyer. SmulSchilderijtjes is no longer responsible for loss, damage, or delay during transport from that moment on.
6. Liability
SmulSchilderijtjes is not liable for damage resulting from incorrect storage of the cookies, incorrect address details provided by the customer, or delays in postal delivery.
7. Complaints
Do you have a complaint about your order? Please contact us within 48 hours of receipt via info@smulschilderijtjes.nl, preferably with supporting photos. We will do our best to find a suitable solution together.
8. Use of photos
SmulSchilderijtjes reserves the right to take photos of the ordered cookies and use them for promotional purposes, such as posting on the website and/or social media. By placing an order, you automatically give permission for the use of these photos. Of course, no personal data will be shared, unless otherwise agreed in advance.
9. Changes to general terms and conditions
SmulSchilderijtjes reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions. The most current version can always be found on our website.
